3rd - 8th August 2025 - Accra, Ghana

It is with great pleasure and honour that we announce that the XXIII AETFAT Congress will take place in Accra, University of Ghana from 3rd to 8th August 2025.
AETFAT [French: Association pour l’Etude Taxonomique de la Flore d’Afrique Tropicale English: Association for the Taxonomic Study of the Flora of Tropical Africa] was established at the Botanical Institute of the Université Libre de Bruxelles, Belgium in 1950, and the first AETFAT Congress was held in the Meise Botanic Garden, Meise, Belgium in 1951. AETFAT congresses take place every three years, organised and hosted by the Secretary General of AETFAT with assistance from members of the Advisory, Scientific, and Organising committees.
The AETFAT Congress is traditionally focussed on Systematic Botany, however, the scope has been enlarged over the years to cover a wide range of topics of topical interest in Botany, including fungi and algae, which can be found in the call for “Abstracts for Oral and Poster presentation” page on the AETFAT website, aetfat.org.
Africa Regional Conference & Exhibition on Education and Skills Development
5th - 7th August 2025 - Accra, Ghana

The 2025 Africa Regional Conference and Exhibition on Education and Skills Development (ARC-EDS) builds on the successes of the 2024 edition, bringing together key stakeholders from across the continent to address one of Africa’s most pressing challenges—youth unemployment. Organized in collaboration with Technical Universities and allied institutions in Ghana and across Africa, this event provides a unique opportunity for governments, development partners, and private sector leaders to engage in meaningful dialogue and action.
As Africa’s youth population continues to grow, a significant number of young people face unemployment or underemployment, highlighting the urgent need for innovative solutions. By focusing on entrepreneurship and innovation, the 2025 ARC-EDS will empower Africa’s youth and position them as key drivers of socio-economic transformation. This conference invites investors, policymakers, and industry leaders to explore impactful partnerships that can scale solutions addressing this critical issue.
