About the REITs Association of Kenya (RAK)
The REITs Association of Kenya (RAK) is the apex industry body representing stakeholders in the Real Estate Investment Trusts (REITs) ecosystem in Kenya. Established in 2017, RAK brings together REIT managers, promoters, developers, investors, regulators, advisors, and service providers with the objective of fostering a vibrant, transparent, and globally competitive REIT market.
RAK plays a central role in market advocacy, regulatory engagement, capacity building, and regional collaboration, while promoting best practices aligned with international standards. Through conferences, policy dialogues, research, and training programmes, RAK seeks to position Kenya as a REIT hub and contribute to the growth of Africa’s institutional real estate capital markets.
Conference Overview
Building on the success of previous editions, the African REIT Conference 2026 will convene key public and private sector stakeholders from across Africa and global markets to examine the next phase of REIT market evolution on the continent.
As African REIT markets mature, perception is shiſting from market entry to market deepening, with a focus on regulatory refinement, product innovation, transparency, risk management, and alignment with global capital flows.
