Meet the Minds Behind Africa Discourse Channel
The ADC Team Members

At Africa Discourse Channel (ADC), the driving force behind our innovative platform is a passionate and diverse team dedicated to making a meaningful impact across the continent. Behind the scenes, this team of dedicated individuals brings together their unique skills, experiences, and inspirations to create something truly remarkable. In this blog, we take a closer look at the people behind ADC, exploring their roles, personal journeys, and the shared vision that unites them.

Richard: The Visionary Driving the Mission

As Managing Director, Richard ensures that ADC operates seamlessly, delivering credible value to its audience. His belief in the power of conversations to spark positive change is what inspired him about ADC. Richard sees ADC as a platform that addresses information gaps in Africa’s industries, ultimately driving social impact.

For Richard, the most rewarding aspect of his work is collaborating with individuals passionate about enhancing Africa’s knowledge, one country or industry at a time. Outside of work, Richard enjoys sharing the Gospel of Christ, swimming, and embarking on long road trips—he’ll take a road trip over a flight any day! If he could travel anywhere in Africa, Malawi would be his destination, where he dreams of farming. His favorite dish? A homemade feast of coconut rice, fried plantain, and fish.

Rita: The Strategic Leader with a Heart for Change

Rita oversees the day-to-day operations of ADC, ensuring that all departments run efficiently and strategically. She was drawn to the team by its commitment to promoting meaningful conversations and bridging gaps through dialogue—a vision that aligns with her values. Rita envisions ADC becoming a leading platform for social change, empowering individuals and communities across Africa.

Outside of work, Rita enjoys video games, cooking, and binge-watching The Big Bang Theory. While she may seem unapproachable to some, Rita reveals she’s a "soft girl with a hard shell." She looks forward to exploring Kenya and Rwanda, where she hopes to embark on a safari and learn more about Rwanda’s history. Her favorite dish is a comforting plate of banku and grilled tilapia or fufu with spicy goat light soup.

Edwin: The Creative visual storyteller

Edwin, ADC’s Brand Designer, is responsible for creating the visual content, brand strategy, and marketing materials that give ADC its distinctive presence. He was inspired to join the team by ADC’s vision of building something meaningful for Africans. Edwin sees ADC as a platform that brings together industry stakeholders to drive progress through conversation.

When Edwin isn’t designing, you’ll find him drawing, reading philosophy, or watching science fiction movies. His influences include The 48 Laws of Power by Robert Greene and a movie, The Secret Life of Walter Mitty. Edwin also has a passion for music, particularly M.anifest’s Nowhere Cool Album, which resonates with his love for deep social commentary. His travel dream is to explore the pyramids of Egypt, Ethiopia, and the beautiful landscapes of South Africa and Madagascar. Edwin’s current favorite dish? Ghanaian Jollof with Mama’s palm nut soup—perfection on a plate.

Samuel: The Tech-Savvy Director of Digital Productions

Samuel, ADC’s Director of Digital Productions, is responsible for video and audio content creation. He finds fulfillment in sharing his creative gifts with the world and being part of a platform that gives voice to unspoken truths. Samuel believes ADC will continue to "lubricate growth" across the continent by amplifying important conversations.

A tech enthusiast, Samuel enjoys exploring new gadgets and gaming in his free time. He also loves spending time alone at home, recharging for his next creative endeavor. His ideal destination? Egypt, where he dreams of seeing the majestic pyramids. Samuel’s favorite food is Akyeke, a spicy and dry Ghanaian dish that he describes as absolutely irresistible.

Williams: The ICT Architect Building Africa’s Future

Williams, the ICT Director at ADC, ensures that the technical side of things runs smoothly, from server maintenance, web design to software development. What drew Williams to ADC was the opportunity to be part of a movement that drives positive change in Africa, particularly in areas where access to information is limited.

Outside of work, Williams enjoys playing games, swimming, and cycling to clear his mind. A fun fact about him? He prefers doing things "well done" over rushing—quality over speed is his motto. Madagascar is his dream destination, where he would disconnect from technology and immerse himself in nature. His favorite dish? Afang soup with eba—a culinary masterpiece from southern Nigeria, rich with okazi leaves, beef, and dry fish.

Belinda: The Connector Driving Programs and Partnerships

As Programs and Partnerships Lead, Belinda oversees ADC’s initiatives and forges strategic alliances to amplify the Channel’s impact. Her inspiration comes from ADC’s mission to foster change through meaningful conversations—an ethos that deeply resonates with her personal values. Belinda sees ADC as a platform that will shape the next generation’s wisdom and drive societal progress.

When she’s not working, Belinda enjoys reading, counseling, traveling, and watching movies. A self-proclaimed introvert, she confesses to dancing a lot when no one’s watching. Her ideal vacation spot? Zanzibar, where she dreams of a long, relaxing stay. Belinda’s favorite dish is fufu with abunuabunu, a rich and flavorful green soup surrounded by snails, mushrooms, and goat meat—a divine treat she never tires of.
