Africa-US Universities Network Conference

A hybrid conference exploring Africa–US academic collaboration, innovation, and partnership in higher education and global engagement.
The Africa–US Universities Network Conference will take place from 1 to 3 July 2025 at the University of the Witwatersrand in Johannesburg, South Africa.
The Conference is hosted by the African Centre for the Study of the United States (ACSUS), the conference brings together African and U.S. universities to strengthen academic collaboration, institutional partnerships, and global engagement in higher education.
The conference builds on the Africa–US Universities Network, a platform established following the 2022 US–Africa Leaders’ Summit, and is supported by leading institutions including Howard University, George Washington University, the University of Southern California’s Annenberg Center, and the Public Diplomacy Council of America. Key themes include: Africa–Diaspora relations; joint academic programmes and student exchange; digital learning and innovation; cultural diplomacy; decolonising higher education; university–industry–government collaboration; and entrepreneurship in knowledge economies. The programme will feature keynote addresses, panel discussions, research presentations, and networking sessions.

Fourth World Conference on Transformative Education (WCTE)
2nd - 4th July 2025 - Cape Town, South Africa
The fourth edition of the World Conference on Transformative Education (WCTE) organized by the Global Institute for Transformative Education (GITE) will be held in Cape Town, South Africa on July 2-4, 2025. Thereafter, the fifth edition will be held in Chile, South America in 2026.
