Accra to Host 30+ Ministries of Education, Policymakers and Education Leaders for eLearning Africa 2026

More than 1,000 participants from over 80 countries, including ministers, policymakers, educators, business leaders, innovators, practitioners and development partners, will gather in Accra from 3-5 June 2026 for the 19th edition of eLearning Africa.

Africa’s leading conference on digital education to convene under the theme “Africa’s Time, Africa’s Terms: Learning for Sovereignty, Strength and Solidarity”

Accra, Ghana | 07 May 2026

Held under the theme “Africa’s Time, Africa’s Terms: Learning for Sovereignty, Strength and Solidarity,” the programme will explore how African countries can build education and training systems that strengthen skills, support digital sovereignty and reflect the continent’s own priorities.

As global alliances shift and digital technologies change how people learn and work, the question facing the continent is no longer only how to expand access to technology, but how to ensure that Africa has greater control over its digital future.

Over three days, eLearning Africa 2026 will feature more than 70 sessions, over 200 speakers, an international exhibition and structured networking opportunities. The programme will address areas including artificial intelligence in education, digital public infrastructure, national data systems, teacher readiness, Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET), workplace learning, youth innovation and large-scale digital transformation across schools, universities and training institutions.

Accra’s selection as host city carries particular significance. Long associated with Pan-African thought and exchange, the city provides a fitting setting for discussions on how Africa can help define, rather than simply participate in, the global digital economy.

As preparations continue, eLearning Africa 2026 is expected to provide an important platform for policy dialogue, practical exchange and partnership-building across digital education, training and skills development. The central question in Accra will be how learning systems can serve not only economic development, but also sovereignty, strength and solidarity across the continent.
